Three Great Teacher Blogs

  • Get ready to add some adventure to your teaching! I've listed three teacher blogs below that are sure to give you lots of great ideas for integrating technology into your curriculum.

The first one is Digital: Divide & Conquer at digitaldivideandconquer.blogspot.com. Matt Sutton gives suggestions on how to captivate the attention of your students with technology. Whether it is using the iPad to create writing extensions about favorite student video games or adding in educational YouTube videos, you'll be sure to make learning more interesting. Check out the post on the Science teacher who ate McDonald's for 90 days. I also liked the "Design Your Own Zoo" unit study that Matt created. In addition, he includes a list of digital "must see" resources.

The next blog is called Free Technology for Teachers by Richard Byrne at freetech4teachers.com. There is a plethora of ideas for bringing technology into learning. The suggestions are endless! Byrne captivates all grade levels in his blog. This site is for all teachers! It is a definite resource that will enrich your classroom from apps to ideas for managing your classroom blog.

Monica Burns gives a host of tips for utilizing technology in the classroom on her blog, Class Tech Tips at classtechtips.com. Her posts are simple, yet filled with several resources. There are so many to choose from! It looks like the Ansel & Clair: American Bowl app could be a hit with my students. TED Talks are another resource we will be visiting.
